Ride our 21-speed comfort bikes through the famous carriage roads of Acadia National Park while learning more of the park's history and ecology. Designed for the recreational biker, this 2 1/2 hour tour covers six miles of carriage roads, with frequent stops for ranger commentary. Plus, if you'd like to continue riding after the tour ends, you're welcome to keep your bikes through the end of the day!

This tour begins and ends at the far right corner of the parking lot of the Hulls Cove Visitor Center, 25 Visitor Center Drive, Bar Harbor, Maine.
July & August- Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
September through October 15- Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 8:30 to 11 a.m.
We provide 21-speed comfort bikes for this tour, with helmets included. When booking, make sure you select all participants’ accurate heights so that we may provide the correct-sized bike!

**Because of the tour’s early meet and start times, if you’re coming to Bar Harbor on a cruise ship, it’s not feasible to be able to tender in and get transportation to the Visitor Center in time. We recommend those coming off a cruise ship to rent bikes from our downtown location at 48 Cottage Street.

Child Trailers are not available for this tour; however, we do offer the option of child seats for babies and toddlers up to 25 pounds. Make sure when booking, you reserve a spot for the child as well.
Mount Desert Island is mountainous, so there are hills on this route. The hills are manageable, but please note there’s rolling terrain throughout the tour.
